Style Me Chic: Office Holiday Party
Tara will be attending her office holiday party in a few weeks and is concerned about what to wear. She's just a few years out of college and typically dresses on the more suggestive side, but with this being her first year at the company, she doesn't want to make a bad impression. Her favorite stores are Bebe and Arden B and she must wear high heels, as she is only 5'0 tall. Budget for a complete look is under $1000. Birchbox for Men
I recently purchased a gift membership to Birchbox as a birthday gift for a friend and I noticed they now have products for men! I highly recommend this as a gift, since it's a monthly program, and the recipient will continue to get gifts each month (options include a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription). I don't know about you, but shopping for guys is always challenging for me, so when I saw this, I knew it would be perfect for some of the men in my life. With brands such as American Crew, Kiehls, The Art of Shaving and Billy Jealousy, you really can't go wrong!

Style Me Chic: A New Style
Isabella is looking to change her style up a bit, with pants and flats, since she is always in dresses and heels. She really likes the look of printed pants, but doesn't want to try anything that is too bold, and outside of her current style (baby steps). She has absolutely no flats in her closet, so I provided a full range of colors and styles to give her a good start to building a collection.

Over the weekend we met up with some friends for dinner at Rasika, an Indian resto I've been dying to try! It was amazing and I can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes. Fashionable friends think alike...as I walked in and saw my friend in a fur vest as well!

New Look!!!
I'm very excited to announce the fabulous new look of my blog by Alivia, from Brunch in April. This has been a long time coming and I'm so very pleased with what she's done!!! There are still a few tweaks in the works - but overall, it is ready. If you're ever looking for a blog designer, I highly recommend her, she was great to work with!

FutureMe
During my junior year of high school, my English teacher had us write a letter to ourselves on the first day of school, and she handed it back to us on the last day. I loved reading what I wrote, seeing how far I'd come and realizing that some things I thought were so important, were so very trivial. After I graduated college I came across FutureMe, a website that does the same thing, only virtually. Ever since then, I've been writing my future self a letter each year. Their principle is that memories are less accurate than emails...and if you think about it, they really are.

I am loving the baroque trend I've been seeing in all the mags, and once again, it's another reminder that I like gold! It's the perfect print for winter, and I can't wait to snag something with this great print. I particularly like the pants by Seven for all Mankind below. DC locals...I can't help but think about Josephine's when I see this print...what about you?
